Frequently Asked Questions

Is this an official military tool?

No. Military Road Trip is not affiliated with the DoD, DFAS, or any government agency. It’s a planning tool built by a veteran to make PCS math easier. Always verify your entitlements with your finance office.

How accurate is this?

We use current JTR formulas and GSA per diem rates. Your actual entitlements depend on your specific orders and travel authorization — treat this as an estimate for planning purposes.

Does it work for OCONUS moves?

Not yet. Right now we only support CONUS-to-CONUS moves. OCONUS is on the roadmap.

What about TDY or other travel?

This tool is specifically for PCS travel and entitlements. You can certainly use it for planning any road trip, whether for official travel or your own. It will only show entitlements related to PCSing (for now).

Is my data saved?

No. Everything runs in your browser. When you close the tab, it’s gone. We don’t store your trip info.
